Please bear with us as we build this business from the ground up. Our current stock of photos is hardly portfolio grade, but as we continue to receive and complete work, we will continue to share photos and testimonials to help you better understand what we can do for you.

Tattooist Convertible Work Station (December 2024)
This project consisted of mitered breadboard ends with deep welled loose tenon joinery to ensure longevity, and incorporated magnets to afix the convertible workstation to it's steel base.
Medicine cabinet to suite (February 2025)
The client for this project had salvaged two saloon style doors, requesting that we design a shallow medicine cabinet that would recess into the wall behind their bathroom door.

Strawberry cage (July 2023)
Here is a truly one-off design. The homeowner had planted strawberries, but couldn't get them to produce because of the local burrowing wildlife. As a solution, Birdbox was commissioned to construct a short screened barrier atop a perimeter of sunken concrete test cores, that would be easy enough to access by the homeowner, but impossible for the voles to penetrate.
Power tool caddy (November 2024)
As Birdbox gets off the ground, we're taking advantage of the growth process by prototyping design ideas that ensure the orderliness necessary to efficiently carry out our business. Here is a small mobile shop/jobsite storage solution designed and built to suit our particular set of handheld power tools.

Functional well-pump cover (May 2021)
This project was comissioned to cover an unsightly and invasive well-pump protruding from the homeowner's unfinished basement floor in the laundry area. Not only were we able to neatly capture the pump within, but the shell was designed and built to provide storage and a work surface, and was conveniently mounted on a French-cleat to make it easily removable.
Laundry chute storage (December 2019)
The laundry chute in this 1970s built ranch was originally covered with a piece of plywood hinged at the bottom to swing down, so the owner could access this space. When the current homeowner replaced their flooring, they graciously invited us into their home to make it less of an eyesore, and more accessible.

Cabinet door replacement (October 2024)
When the cabinets in this kitchen were originally set in 2002, there was enough room for the doors above the refrigerator to open freely. However, the refrigerator was replaced in 2024 with a model that has taller doors that block the original cabinet doors from opening. As a solution that did not require replacing the entire cabinet, two new doors were manufactured and installed.
Lighting raceway (April 2022)
This client wanted to place programable mood lighting around the perimeter of their entertainment room. A simple lipped-tray raceway undergirded by 3 inch shaker crown, and converging on a built-in chase behind the television ensured adequate indirect light dispersal, and effectively eliminated unsightly wiring.

Repeat clientele (October 2024)
After having lived for several years with the mood lighting raceway built by Birdbox, this repeat client requested a display shelf for their Lego Star Wars collection.

Pair of bookcases (December 2023)
Having a passion not only for working with wood, but learning and creativity as well, it is our firm belief at Birdbox Carpentry that every home should have at least one dedicated shelving solution for it's collection of printed media. This pair of freestanding bookcases was designed and crafted for two young adults with big dreams and a bright future.
